Q&A: RetinGuard®
Q: How serious are age-related eye problems?
A: The eyes are especially vulnerable to the negative effects of aging and
age-related vision problems can begin as early as middle age. By 70, a significant
number of people suffer from age-related vision loss. Basically, if we live
long enough, visual impairment is almost inevitable. That's why it is so important
to begin a proper supplemental regime early on, to help protect and support
healthy vision.
Q: What are the causes of eye disorders like macular degeneration
and cataracts and why can RetinGuard help?
A: Although we don't know all the complex causes of age related eye disorders,
research shows that free radical damage plays a significant role. RetinGuard®
contains powerful, free radical neutralizing antioxidants, such as lutein,
zeaxanthin, meso-zeaxanthin, zinc and vitamins C, and E. All which these been
proven to be beneficial for supporting eye health. 1-8
Q: Can anyone take RetinGuard?
A: Yes, adults of all ages who are concerned about maintaining healthy eyes
can benefit from taking RetinGuard®.
Q: Does RetinGuard have any side effects?
A: No, RetinGuard®
is all-natural, non-toxic and free of side effects.
Q: I already take a basic antioxidant formula that contains vitamins
A, C, E, lutein and zeaxanthin. Isn't that enough to protect my eyes?
A: Vitamins A, C and E are important eye nutrients. Lutein and zeaxanthin
have also been proven to support healthy vision. However, new research indicates
a third carotenoid, meso-zeaxanthin may be needed for complete macular density
protection.* Scientists believe meso-zeaxanthin can provide better protection
against lipid membrane oxidation than lutein and zeaxanthin.* Secondly, the
conversion process of lutein to meso-zeaxanthin may not be as efficient throughout
the retina as previously thought. 1-4
Q: I'm out in the sun a lot and heard that sunlight can damage the
eyes. Can this product help?
A: Studies show that the antioxidants C, E, zinc, and the carotenoid family,
such as those found in RetinGuard®,
can help support eye health by protecting against exposure to the sun's ultraviolet
rays. 4-9
