Q&A: DailyMultiple
Q: I'm worried about mad cow disease and other issues with animal based products. Do your tablets have any animal by-products?
A: No, there are no animal by-products in the DailyMultiple.
We offer only high quality vegetarian tablets, free from artificial sweeteners,
flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Q: Can I take my supplements any time of the day? Can I take all four tablets at once?
A: For optimum results, it is best to take two tablets in the morning and
two in the afternoon or evening (preferably with a meal). Many of the nutrients
in the DailyMultiple
are water soluble, which means they are not stored in the body and are usually
excreted in about 3-4 hours. Also, some nutrients like calcium are better
absorbed in smaller doses.
Q: Can my wife take this multivitamin too?
A: Yes, DailyMultiple
is an excellent multivitamin providing 100% of the Recommended Daily Value
(RDV) for essential vitamins and minerals. Women love it because it's one
of the few multivitamins on the market that contain 1000 milligrams of calcium,
along with vitamin D3 and vitamin K to help support healthy bones.*
Q: I am currently taking your AntioxidantBalance. Can I take your DailyMultiple
too?
A:
Yes, the additional ingredients in the AntioxidantBalance will complement VitalRemedyMD's multiple vitamin multi-mineral supplements.
Q: If I eat a healthy diet, do I still need to take a multivitamin?
A:
According to Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), most adults do not get enough essential vitamins and minerals from our diet. As a result, in 2002 two powerful and prestigious articles in JAMA recommend the use of a full spectrum daily multivitamin to guard against sub-optimal nutrient intakes.1
Q: Isn't the amount of vitamin A in your formula too high?
A: No. There is only 100% of the RDV of vitamin A in our product. It is not
present in a high quantity as it is in some other products. It is important
to recognize that vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin. Chronic doses —
over 15,000 IU daily can be toxic. However, in addition to being just 100%
of the RDV, the vitamin A in the DailyMultiple
formula is in the form of beta carotene, which is a safe provitamin found
in many fruits and vegetables, especially carrots. Beta carotene is broken
down in the small intestines and converted to vitamin A only when the body
needs it.
Q: Most of the minerals are listed as amino acid chelate. What does that mean?
A:
The word CHELATION actually means "CLAW" or to wrap around. Amino acid proteins are bonded (or wrapped around) a chelated mineral in order to help ensure better absorption.
